The Lothians group typically hold approximately six talks between October and April, and outdoor events with visits to local reserves and nearby places of interest organised throughout the year.  Both indoor and outdoor events are free and open to non-members; sometimes pre-booking is required. Donations to help with running costs such as hall bookings and refreshments are appreciated. The Lothians group welcomes suggestions for future events.

St Johns, Lothian Road March 19, 2026 at 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm Edinburgh Shoreline: Marine supporting projects talk Karen Chambers and Leonie Alexander from Edinburgh Shoreline will give a talk on the local marine projects they are running. Doors open 7PM.
St Johns, Lothian Road April 16, 2026 at 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm Lothians AGM and Talk on nature and Planning The Lothians group AGM, followed by a talk on Nature and Planning in the Lothians region by Tim Duffy covering the work of the group, its impact, successes, challenges, and hopes for the future. Doors Open 7pm.
